Election 2010 Clone Wars

America! America! God shed his grace on thee, Till selfish gain no longer stain, The banner of the free!

Oops! Sorry, I was having a bit of an American evening centred (sp?) around the three monkeys who insulted our intelligence tonight in a euphemistically branded election “debate.”

Here’s a quick recap of the major questions put to contestants.

“Gordon Brown – What’s it like to be a war criminal who played a major role in dispatching maybe a million Iraqis and Afghans to their early graves?”

Answer: “Fear is your friend, be afraid, vote for me or the nation gets it…”

“David Cameron – Are you for or against allowing the banksters to continue creating money out of thin air and then charging us un-payable interest on it?”

Answer: “We need change, real change. Just like that black bloke said. Some of my best friends are…”

“Nick Clegg – Who the fuck are you again?”

Answer: “I’m just so happy to be here Alistair!”

Dream on. So what have we learned? Or more accurately what have they learned?

Nothing at all it appears. What – do they think the British public is going to fall for this shit again? Do they imagine we haven’t figured out they will say anything to get elected and then do whatever the hell they please when they get into office? We have eyes, don’t we? And ears? And a brain? We’ve seen how this mob has behaved over the last decade. Illegal wars, financial scandals, cash hand-outs to their corrupt bankster friends. I mean, how stupid do they think we are?

Okay, so don’t answer that.

Nick Robinson said it was, “a substantial debate about policy.” Well if Nick says so then I guess it is automatically true. It must be just me who is thinking, “Heard it all before, been there, suffered that, sod off you tossers!”

But look, you have to applaud progress. We have the televised debate, if we can just get the advertising boys and the PR gangs and the lobbyists involved to the tune of hundreds of millions of quid I’d say we’re well on our way to matching our cousins over the sea for putting on a proper election extravaganza.

Same old change.

As Old Holborn, an independent candidate who would have been far more entertaining tonight I suspect, puts it:

We the people should be partaking in OUR democracy, not sitting in a stony silence wired up to a machine. We get just one chance to vote in a rigged system and we are told to collectively told shut up and be quiet. No wit,No style,No flair – sanitised to death.

Oh that’s just SOOOO cynical! Have a read: The Stepford Leaders Debate

Who knows about corruption and fraud?

But all of America can appreciate the pain of insult and humiliation that has been the result of Halliburton’s greedy use of American taxpayer dollars, and then subsequent move to Dubai, like a huge snake slinking off into the grass.

No wonder Americans have no pride left; with leadership like this, who needs enemies?
