Edward Bernays 1891-1995

Edward Bernays 1891-1995

In 2006 the United Nations concluded the largest ever study of wealth distribution by announcing the world’s richest 1% own 40% of all wealth.

The report found the richest 10% of adults accounted for 85% of the world total global assets. Half the world’s adult population owned barely 1% of global wealth. (Guardian, 6 December 2006)

There has always been inequality in our societies and for many reasons, some morally arguable but others unquestionably a shameful indictment of humanity. During the time of kings and emperors and throughout the centuries since the rise of usury, more politely termed as “banking” today, great wealth has underpinned great power and so shaped the policy of nations.

But in the modern age of progressive enlightenment, which we claim as the bedrock of our “altruistic” political, economic and social systems, how can it remain acceptable that millions of people, including helpless children, starve to death as millions more watch their suffering on television whilst excusing themselves every reason to reverse their own decline into obesity?

Tamiflu (Oseltamivir)

Tamiflu (Oseltamivir)

Tamiflu is an amazingly effective drug, in terms of profit generation for the drug companies at least. Whether it’s of any significant use in containing the H1N1 swine flu pandemic is a matter of opinion.

Those who are making a pile of cash are convinced of the health benefits and, in the main, big media is happy to endorse the sales pitch. But Dr Tom Jefferson, of the Cochrane Collaboration in Rome, has a different view.

European Central Bank in Frankfurt

European Central Bank in Frankfurt

The Lisbon Treaty, that rehash of the EU Constitution. I don’t know about you but apart from threats of economic meltdown if we don’t sign, here in the UK I haven’t heard a single argument from any politician of any major party explaining the benefits and costs of our ever closer integration with Europe.

As for the economic meltdown, look around you. It’s here anyway, is Europe going to rescue us from the global mess created by the bankers? How, by handing total independence to the bankers? By allowing the banks to operate without the fussy interference of our (allegedly) democratic representatives?

New Irish Newspaper Needs Your Support

New Irish Newspaper Needs Your Support

As you know Lisbon 2 is around the corner and we need the Irish people to VOTE NO once more.

Most of the Truth Groups in Ireland have started a coalition called Truth Coalition Ireland to work together to fight for a NO VOTE.

Here is a message and a plea for support. Remember, if Ireland can shoot this Lisbon “Treaty” down with another “NO” vote it will force our Europhile politicians into a position where they will no longer be able to deny the British people a voice.

Money For Nothing and the Interest Scam

July 22, 2009

What is money? Most people I ask tell me it is a measure of wealth and I once thought along the same lines until I started taking a closer look at the history of the pieces of paper and shiny coins that constitute our currency.
Have a watch of the video below. Taken from an [...]

Swine Flu, Now That’s Interesting!

July 21, 2009

The “new” H1N1 “swine flu” vaccination will be pushed through trials in as little as five days in the UK! Wow, let’s hope it’s safe and it works then, unlike the last time. Because this isn’t the first mass swine flu vaccination program. Is that news to you? If so it’s not a surprise because [...]

People Power! Can You Believe It?

July 21, 2009

The United Kingdom is a democracy,
That has a parliament led by Prime Minister Gordon Brown and an “opposition” [...]
